Møns Klint Unesco World Heritage

Where ice moved mountains and folded up a landscape

A landscape folded by glaciers

Møns Klint was folded up by enormous glaciers of the Ice Age, as were the hills behind the cliff. In fact, Høje Møn is the best place in the world to see a glacier-folded landscape, and that is why the area has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site – as a unique geological testament to the massive power of ice and its impact on the planet, both past, present and future.
